Web Analyst

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Web Analytics Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both pro-active and reactive analysis for our clients, primarily using the Adobe Marketing Cloud tools and Google Analytics but will also have access to other quantitative and qualitative data sources. This position will allow the successful candidate to make a real difference by driving change and optimisation for our clients’ digital initiatives including: websites, mobile apps, iPad apps, digital media campaigns, social media, etc.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across all disciplines and clients. They will come with experience of working with clients to understand requirements, capturing detailed notes and agreeing briefing documents. They will be able to keep web analytics data at the heart of what they do, whereas allowing for creative analysis from other quantitative and qualitative sources.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate clients needs and business objectives into comprehensive KPIs frameworks
  • Working with clients and internal teams in building measurement frameworks
  • Use Adobe Marketing Cloud tools and Google Analytics to create automated reports that meet clients’ needs
  • Working with internal and external tech teams to implement robust measurement solutions
  • Use various data-sources to gather datasets, merge them and analyse them
  • Gather clear analysis requirements and transform these into actionable insights to meet project deliverables
  • Presenting complex datasets in a simple way so non-data people can understand them 
  • Communicate Web Analytics to not Web Analytics audiences
  • Own small/medium scale Analytics projects

Key skills and competencies 

  • Demonstrable experience of Web Analytics, gained within a fast-moving (ideally agency) environment
  • Strong working experience of Adobe Marketing Cloud tools (SiteCatalyst, Discover, T&T, Survey, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of the online marketplace:  trend awareness, industry best practices, available technologies, reporting methods, etc.
  • Excellent project management and effective communication skills
  • Excellent client relationship skills and ability to develop relationships with clients
  • Experience of using Google Analytics and Omniture
  • A passion for data and the difference it can make
  • Experience with data visualisation and dashboarding software (Bime, Tableau, Clickview)
  • Understanding of online optimization and personalization
  • Understanding of HTML and JavaScript

Digital Strategist

The role

We are looking for a solid Strategist to work across multiple Tribal DDB accounts. Key responsibilities include producing strategies for digital comms, product and service design. The emphasis in this role will be digital comms but there will be opportunities to work on product and service design initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will work in the Strategy team that includes a variety of specialist disciplines: digital strategy, user experience, analytics and data.

Working alongside the well-established agency team, your main role will be to provide consistent thinking around the strategic design, implementation and performance of a variety of consumer facing initiatives.

You should be well versed in product marketing within a digital environment, how digital ecosystems (multi-platform environments) work and the appropriate use of data necessary to cultivate meaningful insights.

You need to be able to set strategically sound direction, drawing on insights gained from market, product and user data. You also need to be able to think of the bigger picture and how digital networks influence and affect the overall customer journey (into retail and beyond).

Key responsibilities

  • Digital strategy development  (final execution could include any form of digital output)
  • Discovery of insights from competitor reviews, consumer data, brand, business and data
  • Creative Brief writing
  • Social analytics and strategy development
  • Research project development and debriefing
  • Working closely with DDB Matrix and Strategic Analyst
  • Helping to drive the Account, Technical, UX and Creative Teams towards the achievement of client business objectives

Senior User Experience (UX) Architect

The Role

As Senior User Experience Architect we shall expect you to have command of all the usual UX skills, but we’re also looking for someone who will have a special interest in how interaction style encourages engagement, supports brand values and supports user objectives. This means that your career to date will probably be heavier on experiential or campaign projects than on corporate or information-rich websites, but we’re interested in seeing anyone who can demonstrate an intelligent understanding of what drives user engagement and conversion. An understanding of digital experiences in physical environments is essential.

You will take a leading role in projects, working within the Strategy Department, alongside strategists, creatives, designers, developers, analysts and the rest of the project team in developing the interaction idea. From this agreed concept you will also lead development of the deliverables that are the special responsibility of the UX department.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understanding target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translating them into creative concepts and functional components
  • Supporting the team in translating business requirements into involving experiences
  • Planning, facilitating and documenting user research, concept and usability testing
  • Developing user personas and scenarios informed by the results of user research
  • Developing prototypes for demonstration of concepts to clients
  • Working alongside creatives and visual designers to develop user experiences that prompt users’ full engagement
  • Conducting expert reviews, competitive benchmarking and market research
  • Developing and documenting detailed user experience specifications for highly interactive interfaces
  • Selling in the departmental offering across the whole agency, both as a digital and an offline service
  • Contributing to the further development of user experience design as an intellectual discipline both within Tribal DDB and in the wider professional context
  • Mentoring and helping guide the work of less experienced members of the department

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Solid experience as information architect, interaction designer, or experience designer engaged in preparing formal deliverables for large scale client engagements
  • Practical understanding of human psychology and ethnography, particularly insights into the factors that drive human behaviour
  • A familiarity with the issues governing social networking and mobile user interfaces
  • Proven ability to execute IA on complex transactional interfaces, taxonomies and metadata  frameworks, and templates for content management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with the principles of user-centred design
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Client-facing experience within a digital agency
  • Readiness on occasion to extend your role to include activities normally associated with other disciplines.
  • Openness to contributions from other disciplines to the project’s experience design.
  • Familiarity with Mac OS X and proficiency in a variety of diagram design tools such as OmniGraffle or equivalent.

Ideally you should also have:-

  • Degree in a related field, such as Library Science, Interaction Design, Product Design, Architecture, Psychology, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Philosophy, English, History, Anthropology.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools

(Build) Senior Project Manager

 The Role

We are looking for a solid Senior Technical Project Manager. They will report to the Head of Project Management and will be responsible for managing large projects and providing senior input across multiple projects.

They will make timely decisions in order to ensure project success within time, cost and quality parameters. They will have significant client liaison responsibilities to ensure that client expectations are managed and met. 

Key responsibilities

  • Large or technically complex project / programme management
  • Technical requirements gathering
  • Facilitating identification of technical solutions
  • Facilitating functional specification production
  • Cost and time estimate management
  • Technical risk assessment, mitigation strategies and expectation setting
  • Focusing on technical delivery, efficiency and productivity
  • Support less tech PM to run their projects (SoW, project plans, phases, testing, risks and scope)
  • Technical project management consultancy for the client
  • Key point of contact for delivery feasibility of scope, budget, timing on tech heavy projects

Essential Skills/Competencies

  • Must have proven experience delivering technology projects / web builds with large budgets (over £200,000), up to 25 FTEs and of high complexity
  • Must have proven experience working with technologies – Java, HTML, Flex
  • Strong client relationship experience
  • Used to working independently
  • Experiential/data/platform experience highly desirable although not mandatory
  • Experience drafting and developing technical and functional specifications
  • Previous experience managing cross-office teams (ie: designers and developers) of significant size
  • Excellent team and people management skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • PMI or Prince 2 certified and SCRUM certified in Agile Project Management delivery strongly desired

Java Web Developer

The Role

We are looking for a solid Java Web Developer. They will work closely with the Technical Lead, developing code on time and to budget, and to do so in a manner that meets the client’s requirements and continues to improve the quality of the project.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:-

  • Demonstrating that the code meets requirements
  • Analysing the client’s functional requirements
  • Documenting work packages and deployment guidelines
